Padmashree Pandit Satish Vyas son of Padmabhushan Late Pandit C. R. Vyas, the most respected vocalist on the Indian Music Scene who was the highly knowledgeable performer and was the very first teacher of young Satishji. Pandit Vyas was the chief disciple of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Shivkumar Sharma – a man so identified with santoor that classical Indian Santoor playing is unthinkable without Shivji’s contribution to the art.

Taalmaani Pandit Mukundraj Deo is a son of Kathak Nrutyaanganaa Dr. Mrs. Manjiri Deo (disciple of Late Padmashree Natraj Gopikrishna), and disciple of Late Pandit Brijraj Mishra of Banaras Gharana and Pandit Mrudungraj of Ajrada Gharana
